The frosts of the last few days have coincided with an increase in pain, or it might be because the steroid dose is now down to 17mg per day - which is about the tipping point that I had last time I tried to reduce. Or a bit of both.

Walking the dog I got a very painful stabbing pain from the top my pelvis down in to my thigh. And again when making the bed. These come suddenly, out of nowhere, and last anything from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes. Bugger, and I thought I might be heading for a small remission. Sad

It's been a bit quiet forum-wise the last few days. I hope that's because you are all well and getting out?

Hexham - Northumberland - Loads of spectacular walks - all I need now are the joints to go with them! :)

sorry to hear you're struggling with the pain, i know you suffer when you cut down on your Steroids ..

i have never had to take them so i have no experience of them, other than what i read on here.

yes Winter is upon us, and i do feel the cold a lot more since having RA, looking back about 5 years and a few stone heavier i used to go out in just a very thick cardi, i didn't/couldn't walk far even then so it was from the car to the shop or wherever. now i have the full works on of a lovely winter coat, i have just bought a lovely new jacket for inbetween time's, glove's, socks ( as i wear trousers ) and i bought a couple of fleece cardi's for indoors even though the heating's on, got one on now as my computer is in the coldest room of the house and it has made a difference as it come's right up to my neck .. lol,

it's lovely to get out to the shops in the week now my Hubby is home, we had a nice browse around yesterday afternoon, i had to buy a Secret Santa gift that is going to wing it's way to California, so had to think of the packaging as well.

i was going to buy a boxed Christmas Decoration from John Lewis, but then i thought USA do decorations so well seeing it on the films etc. so i opted for a lovely chiffon/silky long scarf that will wrap nicely in a jiffy bag.

hope everyone is as well as can be as i natter on :)
